The Free State during the past few lays has been a substantial purchaser jf New Zealand butter, owing to a teinxorary shortage of supplies. A tempoTary shortage of overseas xutter has resulted in a shax*p appreciabion, which some traders consider overlone in view of the unchanged statisfcieal position. Cheese speculators are making a profit. Cheese is irregular, but little is offering.
