JOLLY TIME SPENT AT COMING-OUT DANCE FOR MISS DIANA WILSON
A most successful and very jolly young people 's danee was given on Saturday evening by Dr. and Mrs H.-. M. Wilson at their home, Tuaraki, Lyndhurst road, Hastings, to celebrate !the coming out of their youngest daughter, Diana, and over 150 guests spent a very happy evening. Dancing was enjoyed in the downstairs rooms to excellent musie played by. Lew Munro's orchestra, and the porches and verandahs were arranged with eas-y chairs for in-betweea dances. Upstairs a delieious supper was appreciated by everyone. Dr. and Mrs Wilson welcomed the guests as they arrived, Mrs Wilson. wearing a frock of blaek georgette patterned with a floral design and a short blaek coatee. Miss Diana Wilson wore a gown of rich emberust satin-backed charmelaine. The neckline was cowled in front and the corsage, cut on Grecian. lines, had a draped searf, one end hanging loose and the other forming a caTpe effect caught on the shoulder with silverygold roses. She wore silver kid sandals and carried a lovely posy of miniature red caeti, Ted fuchsia, golden cacti, pale gold rose-buds and maidqnhair f ern. Miss Mary Wilson wore a frock of pale blue and mauve shot taffeta with bouffant bow at the baclc of the waist. Miss Jean Wilson 's gown of brown water-marked taffeta was flnished at the #hem and neck with shirring and Miss Dorothy Wilson wore deepest ivory quilted cloque with pink flowers at the neck in 'front.
