LIVE-STOCK EMBARGO
Mr Nash Discussed Matter in London TRADE TALKS ALSO (Received 1, 8.45 a.m.) LONDON, Feb. 27. After his return from Birmingham Mr. Walter Nash conferred with Mr. W. S. Morrison,, Minister of Agriculture, with ref erence to the livestock embargo. He expressed the opinion that, if stock could be completely safeguarded against tfie? possibility of infection, New Zeaslud would be symrathetic towards lifting the embargo. Later Mr. Nash had further discussions with Ministers regarding imports of meat and New Zealand 's trade policy. Last Wednesday he met representatives of firms underwriting risks on the handling and sea carrying of New Zealand produce. Mr. Nash discussed trade on Thurs-i day with the South Bhodesian Hign Commissioner and afterwards wifh Mr.j Colwyn, who is interested in cotton and| other industries. On Friday Mr. Nash addressed two meetings at Oxford on New Zealand 's policy.
