H.6. Regiment Lose Shield to W.E.C.M.R. ' 12 A KEEN CONTEST — -d A day of very keen competitive rifle and machine-gun shooting was held wlien the Hastings representatives of the Hawke 's Bay Regiment, the W.E.C.M.R. and the Waipukurau representatives of the W.E.C.M.R. met in a contest for the Hastings Challenge Shield. The Hastings W.E.C.M.R. won the shield with 1142 points, Hastings Hawke's Bay Regiment being second with 1082 pts., and Waipukurau W.E.C.M.R. third with 1041 pts.
