BRIDGE PARTY IN AID OF PLUNKET FUNDS AT WAIPUKURAU

Carnival week in connection with the Waipukurau branch of the Plunket Society advanced a further stage on Friday evening, when a very enjoyable progressive bridge party, organised by Mesdames F. A. G. Dunn and Bert Johanson, assisted by Mrs C. R. Moore, was held in the Kosy tea-rooms. Waipukurau. The room was attractively decorated with coloured streamers and bowls of choice summer blooms, and the large numbe^ of players who were present spent a very happy evening. Mrs Dunn was wearing an attractive frock fashioned in spring-green erinkled crepe, the elbow-length sleeves prettily shirred and faced with gold lame, and a wide gold metal belt. Mrs Johanson wore a model gown in navy ripple ninon, flowered in cherry and pale green, the draped corsage caught with natural shaded pink roses. At the end of the evening 's play a delicious savoury supper was sorved.
