Mr S Gemmell's Selection for Coronation Trip "REGARD MYSELF AS 'TINNY' " . Mr S. Gemmell, who has been selected to represent the New Zealand Maori pioneers at the Coronation, passed through Hastings to-day on his way to Trentham. He was aceompanied by Sergeant-Major H. R, Heiford, formerly of Napier, who has been included in (the territorial contingent. "I look upon my selection to represent the Pioneers as a very great bonour," said Mr Gemmell to a HeraldTribune reporter. "A tnp like this for such an important occasion is something like a dream to me, in fact, I think it would be to any returned aoldier. "I find that l haven't forgjotten all that I learned," said Mr Gemmell when making referenc© to the training he will undergo. "I don't expect to be able to spring to it nearly as emartly as I did 'over there,' when I was only about 18 years of age. Using the language best kriown to the returned soldier I can only regard myself as being 'tinny'. I can . be relied upon to carry out my part to the very best of my ability."
