DINNER TO CELEBRATE 21ST. BIRTHDAY

The twenty-flrst birthday of Mr Tim Macfarlane, ' ' Glenaros, ' ' Hastings, was celebrated in very jovial fashion last evefiing when he entertained his t'riends with a champagne dinner held at the Hawke's Bay Farmers' t.nalooms, 'Hastings. The guests assembled in the lounge, where hearty congratulations were extended to their host, and when tliev later adjourned to the dining-room for dinner they sat iound one long table gaily decorated with green erystal bowl6 of bright red dahlias and zinnias arranged with maidenhair fern. Those present were: Messrs Boy Symes, John Lloyd, Douglas McHardy, Punch Nelson. John Helmore, Tom Gatenby, Tony Robson, Pat Peacoeb, D. Armstrong, Stan "White, Bill Krogh, Mac Menzies, Alistair Graham, John MacFarlane, Mick Clifton, W. Ormond. Dick Nelson, Harold Mackenzie and Teddy Barker
