JOLLY PARTY BEFORE RETURNING TO SCHOOL
A happy surprise party was held at the- home :of Mr and Mrs C. W. Browne," Waipukurau. The party, organised by Miss Mary Rice, was given for several young people of th© district, who will be leaving Waipukurau before long for their respective schools and cOlleges. CompetitionB included coconut shies, a shooting match, and charades.' Community singing, and daneing wer« also features of the party. Those ' present were Mrs C. Browne, Misses W. Browne M. Rice,' P. Moor, G Browne, O. Amner, N. Power, E Oliver," J. Smyrk, E. Raymond; Messrs D. Braithwaite, N. Hewitt, G. Walker, I. Walker and V. Rice.
