Successful Gathering ANNUAL MEETING
l'lie Putorino Sports Club held its oeventeenth. annual meeting in good weather. The day, though cold, was quite fine, and spectatoi's and competitors were alike of the . opinion that is was one of the most enjoyable meetings the club has held. A large crowd was present at the dance in the evening. The Buffalo Orchestra supplied the music, while Mr V. WINNERS OF TROPHIES Mr Bennett's cup for open jump was won by T. Mossman. Mr S. Evans's Oup for aggregate in the running events was won by D. O'Rourke. Mr B. Evans's Cup for aggregat© over" the whole meeting was .won by A. Hedley. Mr P. Jessep's cup for maiden competitor in district and open jump scoring most P°ints "was won by P. McLean. Miss Haliburton's trophy for lady competitor scoring most points in the horse events apart from the jumps was won by Miss W. McKenzie. Mr Hercock's £1 1/- for the best loser was won by S. Scott.
