Shell Bursts on Warship Royal Oak FIERCE FIGHTING CONTINUES
(Received 25, 11.35 a.m.) EUGBY, Feb, 24. During one of four air raids on Valencia the night before last, an antiaircraft shell burst on the quarterdeck of the British battleship Royal Oak and Captain Drew and Commander Peachey and three others were struck by splinters. Their injuries were superficial and no oue was incapacitated. Press messages report that fierce fighting continues around Oviedo. The loyalists have renewed their offensive by attacking an armaments factory. They claim to have entered the southern side of the city. * Battles are reported iu the streets. The Government is strengthening its resistance and army command and severe measures are being introduced to weed out slackers.
