j.he first meeting for fhe year of the Hastings Young People' s Cliristian Temperan'ce Union was held on Monday ©Yening in the Methodist HaU. The members present had pleasure in meeting Miss McLay, Dominion organiser. After devotions the organiser spoke to the members of the importance of the nnion. All were asked to help in the great work of prohibition by "explaining to youn'g people the results of partaking of alcoholic beverages. "At tho conclusion of the address Miss J, Napier presented the speaker wjth a :bouquet. Mr Higgs tlianked Miss McLay for her most interesting and helpful address.
