FAT SHEEP STEADY

Lighter Ewes Slightly Easier at Stortiord Eat sheep were generally . steady at to-day 's stock sale at Stortford Lodge, although there appeared . to be an easier tone in some of the lighter ewe lines. Good ewes, however, met with good competition and sold firmly. Laoibs and wethers were unchanged. Thirty well-f ramed , and finished wethers made 26/9. A choiee pqn of seven Down twotcoths, well grown and prime, sold at 24/5. A further five, all ewes, made 26/-. Three fat whitefaee lambs sold at 23/9. Two fat Down 2-tooths realised 20/-. A single weighty and well-grown blackface lamb sold at 27/-. A smaller lamb, sknilarly finished, made 23/6. Three well-grown and weighty wethers sold at 26/6, a single heavy wethei making 28/-. Three two-tooths, in the wool, blacb sheep, sold at 25/-. Fourteen ewes, fairly grown, plain in finish, made 17/6, a further pen making the same figure. Eighteon woll grown and finished ewes, good weights, met the market at 20/-. A further nine, not so heavy. I made 18/9. A draft of 64 ewes, in from Mr. J. H. , August, Patangata, well' growa prime sheep, sold at 22/-. Two primo black-fuce lambs made 26/6, a further two going at -26/-. Thirty-eight fat ewes, fairly grown and medium, made 18/6. A draft of 160 fat lambs, whitefaee, off rape, aiedium to fairly grown and finished, mdt the market at 22/3.
