THYROID GLAND MARVELS
NEOESSITY FOR CORRECT FUN CTIONIN G. The marvels of the Thyroid gland were described by a well-known Christclxurch doctor in an address to the Christchurch brauch of the Royal Sanitary Institute. In early life, he said, the Thyroid controlled growth, and in later life played an important part in many bodily functions. Children deprived of the iodine on which the Thyroid 's operation depended developed into cretins, or dwarfs, and rcmained dwarfs mentally and physically to their deaths. In later life disturbance of the Thyroid caused enormous obesity, the sufferer greatly inereasing in weight, and becoming dull mentally and physically. By correcting the iodine deficiency, the sufEerers beeame normal again. Mental or physicat shocks were put right by the Thyroid gland, and it was the Thyroid that caused the fever which helped patients overeoine such an illness as pneumonia. Without the proper operation of the Thyroid, the ivsufferer would be coinpletely without emotion. To keep the Thyroid gland aclive it requires regular rationing with organic iodine and this is achieved with the aid of Thyrodone, the coneentrated oyster extract. The excellent physio-chemical combination of life-esse:itial minerals with organic iodine obtainable in Thyrodone is widely endorsed. by medical men as the fiuest eorrective of glandular troubles. Thyrodone is obtainable at 4/6 from OhemHls. If unable to obtain supplies," \v ri 1 l.i Tbvrutlonc Development, Ltd., I*n | a. , ,7\ invercargill "
