Mayor Propounds Scheme for Finance A' scheme .propounded-by the Mayor, Mr C. O. Morse, for- the flnancing of a new municipal theatre for ' Napier was consider ed in committee by' the' Napier Borough Couneil last evening, but no final deeision to proceed with the work was reached. At present Mr Morse 's scheme is. not to be made . public, but as tsoon as the . couneil has como to a deeision publie announcement will be made. Provisional plans have' been drawn up for the proposed theatre, and these have been plaeed before councillors to assist them in arriving at a deeision. "I desire to make no statement whafsoever just at present," said Mr Morse, when approached this morning regarding the couneil 's deliberations , last night.
