Accused "Worse than Beast" Says Magistrate HAMILTON OFFENCE

HAMILTON, This Day. Btating that the accused 's troublo was due'to drink, Mr S. L. Paterson, S.M., sentenced Frank McCallum in tho Hamilton Police Court to two years ' probation and ordered Mm to take out and maintain a prohibition order. His fWorship described the assault as brutal. "Drink makes you worse than a beast," he said. "You went to this unfortunato man's room and made a bestial suggestion to him and when He refused you brutally assaulted The accused was ordered to pay'fhe medical and prosecution costs and £24 damages.
