SHEEP DOG TRIALS

Annual Meeting of Te Pohue Club Mr J. F. McReesick, of Rukumoana Station, near Te Pohue, was unanimously re-ejected president of the Te Pojiue Sheep-Dog Trial Club at thn annual general meeting on Saturdav ev'ening. Mr McKeesick has acted in this capacity for only one year, but during that period he has taken a seen interest in the club's annual trials. This year's patron Is Mr Ian McKinnon, of Glengarrie. The annual report, read by Mr K. Ruddenklau, revealed that the past year had. been a most satisfactory one. The 43 members constituted a record since 1926 at least. The balance-sheet showed a small credit balance. The election of officers resulted as follows: — Patron, 3Ir Ian McKinnon; president, Mr J. F. McKeesick; viceprdsidents, Messrs' W. McKinnon, K. Ruddenklau and B. Palmer; judge, Mr A. Stead; committee, Messrs B. Palmer, T. Hamlin, J. Palmer, J. Lopdell, W. King, H. Strachan," K. Ruddenklau, A. Holder, R. Dampney, B. Julian, K. Brooks, G. Crawford, E. Smith, O. .Flower, E. Hawkins, J. 01sen, A. Watson, A. Brooks, T. Pothan; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr H. McKinnon; visitors' stewards, Messrs W. McKinnon and J. Lopdell ; timekeepers. Messrs B. Palmer and W. King; sheep liberating stewards, Messrs J. Palmer and one more to be elected ; dance committee, Misses E. and P. :Howell and Messrs J. Fitzgerald, O. Bruce and P. Julian; booth stewards to be elected later, When the meoting was discussing arrangements for the annual trials on April 14, Mr W. McKinnon offered to provide the necessary sheep. Qffers of £1 1/- by Mr K. Ruddenklau and a quantity of nails by Mr P. Palmer, for the erection of a secretary 's ofiice and booth, were gratelully accepteu. The past services of Mr Ruddenklau as honorary secretary were higftiy appreciated, and regret was expressed that he could not spare the time to carry on his duties. Mr Ruddenklau has taken on the secretaryship of the Hawke's Bay Sheep-Dog Trial Oentre.
