RENOVATE WORN LINOLEUM

When tlio pattern has been worn from a floor-covering, the linoleu-n should be scrubbed with warm water, and, when thoroughly dry, painted with light grey lacquer, a square yard at a time. While the lacquer is still wet, dip a piece of sponge in bright green or blue lacquer, and lightly dab it on the grey foundation. This will give a new mottled effect. In an hour, when the lacquer is thoroughly dry, give it a coat of varnish, made from 1/- worth of white shellac and one quart oi methylated Bpirits, dissolved and thoroughly mixed. Hhake the bottle occasionally wbeu using. The cost of the whole treatment will not exceed half a crown, and the ' ' new ' ' piece of linoloum will look quite fresh, and last for years.
