THE AUTUMN SHOW
Entries for the Fruit Section The Hawke's Bay Agricultural ,and Pastoral, Society has shown a very com > juendable epirit in retaining in the schc iule the' fruit seetion in its usual com» prehensive form. The chi,ef varieties if apples are again divided into sepei rata classes for exhibition and cnmmercial types, while the other fruits nrwell provided for in the matter of 'classes. The season has been a very bad one for fruit, but this has probabiy affected quantity rather than quality, and it is hoped that growers will be able to send in their usual fiue display of well eoloured fruit. To maintain the high' reputation which Hawke's Bay has gained for quality fruit will no doubt be the aim of all growers who have in the past shown themselves vly much alive to that importaut ffeature of their industry. Entries for all classes close on Thursday, March 4, a the Society 's office, Church street, Napier, and Mr. F, C. Wilkmson's office, Queen street, Hastings.
