VENETIAN POINT LACE FOR BRIDE'S GOWN

Zohrab — Miller Wearing a graceful gown of Venetian point lace in a deep oyster shade, mounted on taffeta in the same shade, Margaret May, eldest daughter of Mr aud Mrs W. Nicholson Miller, Te Mata road, Havelock No'rtb, was a charming brido at her marriage to Edward Ernest, second son of Mrs E. G. E. Zohrab, "Guliston," Silverstreanij Wellington. Archdeacon K. E. MacLean officiated at the ceremonj at St. Luke's Church, Havelock North, this morning. On the altar in the church were vases of delicate pink dahlias and ferns. The bride's g/own was cut very simple^ fitting lines with a court train falling from the waist lined with net in the same oyster shade. The corsage was fashioned with a fairly high neckline finished with a small scalloped collar which was caught at one side with a tiny spray of orange blossom. The long tight sleeves were finished at the wrist with small scalloped cuffs matching the collar. She wore satin shoes in the. shade of her gown and a long necklace of pearls. A lovely tulle veil in the very palest shade of pink was arranged with a coronet of orange blossom, both the veil and blossom having. been lent by friends. She carried a most beautiful bouquet of begomas, fuchsias and tiny ilowers in sha,des of apricot, striug coiour and pink, with maidenhair feru. The only maid was Miss Helen Miller, the bride's sistej*, who wore a lovely gown of palest dusky pink chitfon inounted on taffeta in the same shade. The gown was cut "very fittingly, the skirt which. was fully iiared from the knees being edged with an accordeon pleated frill. A matching friil edged the short puffed sleeves and finished each ■side of tho neckline .which was heart shaped in front hnd cut .square at the back. At the waist was a stitched chiffon belt with wide covered buckle and she wore pale pink . sandals and ber headband was a twisted pink chiffon. Her bouquet was of pink roses and begonias, with a touch of pale blue. Mr Charles Letford, of Wellington, carried out the duties of best man and Mr W. Nicholson Miller gave his daughter away. . - ■ ,r . Following tho ceremony close . .relatives were entertained at luncheou by . Mr and Mrs Nicholson Miller at their horuo. The large reception room was decorated with hugo bowls of beautiful hydrangeas and pink beiladonna lit ies. Un the lunc'heoq. table were crystal vasea of palest pink sweet peas and fern and m, the centre stood the two;tiered square wedding cake, iced ih palest pink -with eilver iavours, this having been made by Mrs Goldfinch. Mrs Nicholson Miller wore a gown of deep blue Belf-striped cotelle fashioned with a tunic effectr The collar and vestee were of'beige chiffon and lace and- cuffs to match finished the long sleeves, She wore a smart navy hat with osprey trimming and carried a1 'bouquet of large double fuchsia, pansies aud fern. Mrs E. G. F. Zohrab., the bridegroom's mother wore a smart black trock with touches of white and a black velour hat with new high crown. Her bouquet in flame shades was composed of begonias and roses, aU the bouquets having been most artistically made by Miss Marjorie Ebbett. The reception was a very jolly one, the toast to the bride and bridegroom being proposeff by Mr Paul Pagje. Later when Mr and Mrs E. E. Zohrab left by car for their honeymoon, a motor tour of the north, Mrs Zohrab travelled in a, model suit oi postillion green carioca crepe finely 6potted with cream. Her blouse was of cream satin. with deep shaded lace forming the collar. and finishing the front. She wore a pixie hat in the material of her suit and green shoes. She carried a green handbag and wore cream suede gloves. Though theN wedding was a very quiet one the good wishes of many friends throughout Hawke's Bay and also in .Wellington are extended to "this popular young couple. The gjuests were Miss Geraldine Miller, sister of the bride, who wore a model suit of duck-eggj, blue silk tweed, the coat having a. collar of navy blue and was caught at the neck with three navy buttons and fell full from a yoke at the back. She wore a navy belt. navy Napoleon straw hat and navy suede shoes. _ Miss Rosemary Miller, the bride's sister, ,wore a frock of deep blue and white starched chiffon with a very full skirt and ehort sleeves cut full at the shoulders. A narrow belt at the waist was caught with a deep red flower and she wore a navy hat with floral trimming in front. Other relatives of the brido were Mr Maxwell Miller, her brother, and Miss M. McGregor (Gisborne), her cousin. Ilelative3 of the bridegroom were Mr Douglas Zohrab (Wellington), his brother, Mr and Mrs Paul Page (Eketahuna) brother-in-law and sister, Mrs J.
