A statement was issned by the Lord Chamberlain, the Earl of Cromer, that, By percaission of the King, plays dealing with the life of Queen Victoria can be considered for production after June 20, 1937. This date has been selected-as being the centenary of Queen Victoria 's accession to the Throne. The announeement will he welcomed in stage circles as paving the way for the public production' in Britain of several brilliant plays dealing with Queen Victoria which have lxitherto boen forbidden.
