WAIPOAPOA 5-YEAR-OLDS SELL AT RECORD PRICE
Deepite the fall in values at to1 day's ewe fair at Stortford Lodge, an 'exceptional entry of '401 fiveyear ewes, offered by Williams and Kettte, Ltd., on account of Waipoapoa Station, topped the market for the season, realising the excellent price of 33/-. The ewes, which were particularly well bred, Octo-ber-shorn, have been exceptionally well done, and made an attractive offering. What can be described as the sensation of the sale followed immediately afterwards, when the renowned Te Apiti-bred five-year ewes eclipsed all previous record prices to make the outstanding value of 38/-, thus equallling the prices made by the best 2-ths in the sale. This purchase o.f 400 was made by Mr E. D. Holt, of Bayview. .
