At the 47th meeting of the Ruakituri Institute Mrs Berry presided' and apologiseiV for- the absence of the president, Mrs Spence, and the treasurer, Mrs Richards, both. through illness. ; Tho sum of £4 wa3 passed for the purchase of new.books for the library, and £1 for the typewriter fund. Memb.ers enjoyed a play "Early Birds" read by Mesdames Berry, Winder, Mairs, Dahm, Morris and Miss Spencer. Mrg Nolan .rendered two songs, and the meeting closed with commuuity singing. • _ •
