BISHOP WILLIAM'S SON MARRIED IN SINGAPORE

The wedding was solemnised at Singapore on February 1 of the Bev. Nigel Williams, son of Bishop H. W. Williams and' Mrs Williams, Bishopscourt, Napier, and Nora, daughter of - Mr and Mrs .W. E. Castel, Sheffield, England. Mr Williams/ who has played inter-state > BUgby football in Malaya, where the game • reach.es a high standard, . is acting-arcfideacon of St. Andrew's Cathedral, Singapore. The Bishop of Singapore, the Et. Eev, B. . C. Boberts, oiflciated at the ceremony.. The bride,. who was given away by Mr H. L..Ward, a well-known Singapore cricketer, wore a dress of white satin, cut on classical lines, with a cowl neck, long sleeves :and a short train. Her tulle veil was crowned by a halo of orange blossom and she carried a bouquet of arum lilies. Mrs B. C. Eoberts, . matron of honour, was dressed in brown. and white "erepe georgette -with a coatee of % .same material. . She carried a bouquet of gladioli... The flower. girls, the Missea H&zel and Sheila Eoberts, daughtera of Bishop . and Mrs Eoberts, wore dresses of -pale pink sprigged organdie and . wreaths ' of rose -buds and forget-me-nots. : They carried posies of pale pink roses. Eureka Lodge- 12B The quarterly . meeting of the Eureka Lodge of.Druids-was held in the TJnite'd Hall on, Tnesday. Bro. J. Cutlex .presided.. over a good attendance of members. . The. officers of the lodge were congratulated on winning the Potter Shield and McClurg Cup at the recent ritual contest. Sick pay and accounts amounting to £45 3/9 were passed for payment. The E.A.C. meeting will be held at Hastings on Thursday next. The deferred Christmas tree party will be held at the Assembly Hall on March 4. Twoanew members were proposed for next lodge night, and ono was initiated ? during the evening.
