EVENING WEDDING HELD IN HASTINGS
Beal — Busl^jy Ivory geo-rgette fashioned on simple classical lines was chosen by the bride for her charming gown at tiie wedding of Winifred Ethei (Molly), younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs, C. C. Bu-shby, Fitzroy Avenue, Hastings, and 'William Henry, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Beal, Willowpark road, Hastings. The Jt8v. Knowles Smitli, Woodville, officiated at the ceremony which was at the Methodist Church, Hastings, last evening. Miss Napier presided at the organ and played the wedding. marches and hymns. The bride's gown of ivory georgette was but o& very long fitting lines with a trained skirt edged with two frills and was' shirred in the front from the ueck to waist and finisheu at the back with tiny buttons covered with the same material. The neckline was heartshaped and was edged with tiny ivory and palest pink velvet fiowers, while the long sleeves were slightly shirred where they joined the yoke aild had a wide culf finished with tiny covered buttons. The waistline was defiued with a girdle looped in front with long hanging ends finished with tassels. She wore silver sandals and her tulle ve.il was arraugert with a simple halo of orange blossom being worn over the face when entering the church and later being thrown back. She Carried a bouquet of ivory roses with touehoa of pale pink arranged with maidenhair fern. The two bridesmaids were Mias Jean Bushby (ehief), the bride's sister, and Miss Susio Beal, sister of tho bridogrooin Their gowns were cut exact.'y alike and were of ehiffon in delphinium bluo and rosebudu pink respectively. The skirts were very fiared with inset godets composed of accoraeon pleats and at the waist was a plaited girdle of silver lame and the material of ihe gown. A similar plaitc outlined the square neck which was caught at one side with' a soffc bow, and little capes of silver lame were worn by each maid. Silyer sandals were wotn and headbands of tiny velvet fiowers, the shade of each maid's gown, with silver leaves. Pink and white rosebuds and fern composed their bouquets, that of the chief maid having a little toueh of blue also. The gifts frora the bridegroom, crystal necklaces, one blue and one pink werp also wom. Mr. George White, the bridegroom 's cousin, carried out the duties of best man, and Mr. Eaymond Bushby, tho bride's brother was the gropmsman. Mr. 0. C. Bushby ga-ve his daughter away. After the ceremony a receptibn was held at the Barrie Studio, where a very happy time was spent by all the guests. They were received by Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Bushby, assisted by Mr. and Mrs. F. Beal, Mrs. Bushby wore a gown of deep brown marocain. with Insets of peau d 'ange laee in the same shade. The long sleeves of laco were prettily shaped at the shoulders to give a eowled effect and were finished at the wrisfc with a marocain cuff caught with tiny covered buttons. She wore a brown straw hat and a long skunk stole and carried a bouquet of antumn-shaded fiowers. Mrs. F. Beal wore a gown of black ring velvet with a white flower at the neck. Her black hat was also trimmed" with a white flower and she carried a bouquet in shades of red. Later, when the bride and bridegroom left for their honeymoon, a motor tour in the north, the bride travelled in a suit of navy blue double georgette with waistcoat effect worn over a floral silk blouse in shades of navy, cream and blue, flnished at the neck with a bow. She wore a smart nayy straw hat with a quill trimming the crown, navy suede shoe and gloves. The invited guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Hutchinson, Mrs. Campbell, Miss 1. Campbell, Mrs. White., Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Doak, Miss Henderson, Mr. and Mrs J. Wilson, Miss B. Heeps, Mrs Edwards, Mr. and Mrs. ■ O. Edwards, Mrs. Hiron and the Misses Hiroa, Mr. and Mrs. W. Wilson, Mrs. Horne, Mr: and Mrs. H. Apperley, Mrs. Chamberlain, Mr. and Mrs. W. Henderson, Mr. and Mrs. Cooper, Mr. C-. Drummond, Mr. E. Rutherford, Miss Jean Miller, Mr. and Mrs. H. Stubbs, Mrs. Harvey, Mr. E. T. Kelly, Miss Hayes, Mr. Lush, Mr. I. Ireland, Mr. B. Merrick anil others.
