MASTEETON, Last Night. | Uniform'ly good prices and a steady | demand throughout, mado the opening day of the Masterton A. and P. Association's annual xam fair oue of the best saies of recent years. Buyers exer■cised keen discrimination. ,The quality of the sheep generally was good. Flock Bomneys sold up to 26 gns. as compared with 18 gns. last year. The highest price for stud Romneys was 45 gns. against 90 gns. last year, the difference bcing accounted for prineipally because fiie ,cop.dition and quality of studs thia year were nofc as high as those offered at the last fair.
