With music by Eric Ansell and lyrics by Henrik Ege, these are the songs now being featured by Orchestras and siiigers ali over the world. Their titles are ''Song of Freedom, ' 1 "Stepping Stones," "Lonely Road," ana 1 ' Sieepy River," all of them being featui'ed proaiinently in this reiuark able ' hira production, the scenes oi Which are set in Afriea and Britain. Not only is the picture a festival of lovely melody, but it tells a thriiling atid poignant story of a negro who longs to return tb his own country, realising his ambition through the means of his voice. Supporting the great aetor-singer are Elisabeth Welch, iisme Percy, Oeorge Mozart, Joan Fred Emney, ahd Jenny Deam James Elder Wills, the director, spent six weeks in Africa, finally seleetinging Tasso Island, on the West Coast as being an ideal locale for shooting. Untouched by civilisation, the natives there px'oved to be excellent camera enaterihl, and ihe expedition returned with many Unique shots of native rites and customs nevbr wituessed by white people before.
