CounSel for Nodwell, Mr, V, B. Willis, made an eloquent address lasting an hour and forty minutes. Thej , jury was absent two and a-quarteri hour* including an hour for luneh and. in delivering its verdict, made a strong recommendation for mercy on account of prisoner's state of health. Nodwell was remanded for sentence,
