Boxer Cook. Says No Empkatically UCENCE REFUSED (Received 18, 8.45 a.m.) LONDON, Feb. 17. The British Boxing Board of Control Has announced that it refuses to renew George Cook's licence. Thisj may prevent Godk from carrying out his plak for a fight to celebrate his silver jubilee as a professional. George *' assumes that he is banned because he is too old. He says; "I am still fit and am not going to be stopped by a lot of men judging me by average boxers aged 39 who do not live right. If the Press, after my next fight, says I am washed up and through I am prepared to quit gladly."
