Increase in Wages Granted

WELLINGTON, Feb. 15. The new seamen's award, to operate for 18 months from February 1, provides eonsiderable - increases for all classes of labour. The wages of boatswain and first A.B., are increaBed frim £16 4/- to £19; A.B.'s from £15 4/- to £18; over 18, from £10 9/to £11 19/-; under 18, £9 4/- to £10 10/-. Overtime rates are increased from 2/9 to 3/2 per hour
