SCOUT HEADQUARTERS
Appeal for Funds Renewed The organisers of the appeal on behalf of tlie Boy Scouts have decided to renew their activities towards raising funds with which to erect a eentral headquarters for the movement in this district. Further efforts are now being made to obtaia the £150 that is ; still required. To date £55 IjQ has been collected, the latest donation being £5 by Mr F. F. 'Hunter, of Havelock North. In addition to these cash donations quito a number of husiness firms have promised gifts of material required for th« erection of the proposed building, which will be unique in that it will be designed exclusively for Boy Scout roquirements. Thanks to the generosity of the Hastings Boroqgh Council an ideal eito has been secured at a pepperoorn rental, and all that remains now for ihe scheme to become an accomplisbed fact is the receipt of further cash donations.
