Objection to Hospital Chairman's Statement The opinion that the council should have something to say about the remarks made by the chairman of the Waipawa Hospital Board in the Lower Court during a recent case anent the practices of local-body officers was expressed at the meeting of the Waipukurau Borough Council last night by Mr Martin. Other members of the council agreed, Mr Braithwaite suggesting that the only thing the council could do at this stage was to assura the ratepayers that the council was satisfied thatv-^o far as the council 's stalT was concerned it did not follow the practice alluded to. Mr Martin moved: "That this council strongly objects to the remarks of the chairman and secretary of the Waipawa Hospital Board in connection with the administration of local bodies in general, and the practice stated does uot apply in this office." The council passed the motioa.
