WEDDING
CHITTENDEN— MIDDLETON On the evening of February 9, the Ongaonga Presbyterian Church was the scene of a very pretty wedding, when Thelma Ida, • third daughter of Mr and Mrs James Middleton, Ongaonga, was joined in the holy bonds of matrimony , to Noel Albyn, son of Mr and Mrs Chittenden, Masterton. The ceremony was periormed by the itev. Mr Drake, of Waipawa. Owiug to the ill-health of the bride's father, the bride entered the church and was • escorted up the aisle by her uncle, Mr Jt, Ireland, of Blackburn. The bride looked charming in her gown o fivory tafi'eta cut on long line&, with lac© inJets on the sleeves and beautilul embroidered net veil. She* wore orange blossom, and carried a bouquet of swcet peas, roses and maidenhair fern. She was attended by her sister, Elsie, who woro a Marina blue silk . crepe i'rock,- with sash /tied at the back in a big graceful bow, and hei- hair was adorned with a silver iialo bandeau. She carried5 a bouquet oi pink and blue sweet peas. The duties of best man were carried mt by the bride' s cousin, Mr Gordon i Vercoe. j The reception was held at the bride' s residence, where about 50 guests were entertained. The beautiful three-tiered wedding cake was made by the bride'g mother, and was wonderfully ' decorated by the bride's cousin, Mrs Jack Course. The bride's mother received the guests in a brown aud white frock oi' silk marocain, with brown mode] hat. The bride was ihe lecipient of uianj beautiful gifts. After the reception the happy couple left for the north, the bride looking charming in a blue ensemble with hat, gloves and shoes to tone.
