The February meeting of the Wallingford Women' s lnstitute was held •vt »vatiii.g ord on Thursday " i'ternoon Mrs J. i). Ormond presiding uvei an att-u'l-ance of V7 members and several visitors. Apologies were received from Mesdames E. McNutt, A.S. Wilder, H Parsoas and S. Wright. Miss Gaston judged the three" interesting demonstrations tof smocking, tapestry and embroidery stitches, given by . Mesdames R. P. Wilder, A. Wall and J. D. Ormond. iAiter ■ afternoon tea had beeh served by the hostesses for the- afternoon, Mesdames P. Canningi, L. Wilson, T. Geenty and Misses Judd and Prue. Wilder, a game of "Book Titles" was much enjoyed. The result of the competitions for the day were: — Best cotton frock, costing not more than 5/-. — Mrs L. Wilson 1, Mrs Wecster 2, Mrs 11. P.
