Question of Agreement With ! Hospitai Board The monthly meetihg of.the committee of the Hastings.. Returned SoldiersrAssociation was held last evening, Mr P. J. Priest presiding over Messrs P. J. S. George, - F. H. Goldiinch. G. Prebble,. B. .S. McLeod, G. H. RoaCh, L. J. Mackersey, W. A. Mclntyre and A. J. Manson. Mr V-. A. Thomson (seo. retary) was also present.- Leave of absence was granted to Messrs IV E. O'Dowd and L. J. JB. Hammond A letter was received from the Waipawa R.S.A. advising that for health reasons the combined picnic which was to have been held on the 14th instant had been postponed until a lat-er date Advice was received that the Dannevirke R.S.A. . was. endeavouring to arfange an agreement with its local Hospitai Board, ,.lt was decided to ask that association what measure of sui>port was being accorded by the mexnbers with a view to further consideration at the next meeting of a similar arrangement in this district,. It was re-solted to forward to Mr and Mrs J. W. McLachlan, who are leaving for Enftland next. week, a letter expressing the associatioh's appreciation of their valuable • services in connection with the- annual ball and Poppy Day. The matter 'of organising this year's poppy saies was' deferred until the March- meeting. It was • decided to hold • the next quar-terly reunion on Thursday. March 11. • - The secretary reported that the tinanuai membership to date was 385
