Madrid Bombarded All Night LITTLE DAMAGE DONE

(Beceived 13, 11.25 a#m.) VALENCIA, Feb. 12. The suburbs of Valencia were bombarded at down from the sea and coastal batteries returned the fire, Little damage was done. Nightlong gunfire associated with the rebels ' new attack on the western part of Madrid? was apparently unsuccessfuL When the rebels entered Malaga they arrested as a Government sympathiser the noted zoologist, Sir Peter Chalmers Mitchell, who is residing there. He was released after the intervention of the British consul on condition that he left the town immediately. Sir Peter declined to comment when he arrived at Gibraltar. General De Llano broadcast a denial that Italians and Germans had helped in the capture of Malaga. He claims that his forces were 100 per cent. Spaniards, He also revealed that those captured and awaiting court-martial include the presidont of the Popular Tribunal, Senor Melha, who is alleged to have been responsible for 5000 executions of non-sympathisers with the loyalists.
