t Good Catches Obtained IMPROVEMENT LIKELY

TAUPO, This Daj. A fair number oi anglers are m the Taupo district at present and some good catches are heing obtained. Mr and Mrs D. Buchanan, oi Masterton, iished from the launch Romance, chiefly in Whakaipo nnd Whangamata Boys, for four dayis last week and landed a total of 85 trout. On the the last two davs'both anglerB obtained their iimit catches. Messrs E, G. Bridgens, C. F. Nicholson and Dr. Pezaro, all of Auckland, were out in the launch Whizebang on two days and obtained a total of 42 fair fish. The largest, an eight pounder, was caught by Dr Pezaro. The weather at present is ohangeable and showery, and it is nnticipated that improved catches in the Waikato river will be had when conditions become ipore settlfed.
