AUCKLAND WEDDING OF FORMER RESIDENT OF HAWKE'S BAY

McCIintock — Treston Ihe wedding was solemnised at St. Michael's Church, Remuera, Auckland, on February 9, of Eileen Catberine, youngest daughter of Mrs G. Treston and the late Mr Treston, Arney road, Remuera, formerly of Napier, and John Frederick McCIintock, seconfl son of Mrs A. McCIintock and the late Mr McCIintock, York Place, Dunedin. The Rev. Father Ronald O'Gorman, Hokitika, performed the ceremony, which was followed by nuptial Mass. Mrs Worthington presided at the organ. The bride who was given away by her brother, Mr Spellman Treston, .wore a gown of magnolia toned duchess satin. The bodice was gathered into a yoke aind the neckline was finished with a Peter Pan collar and fastened in front with two small ' sprigs of orange blossom. Large leg-of-mutton sleeves wero shirred at the shoulders and narrowed at the wristline to form small mittens over the hands. The skirt was slixn fitting and flared from below the knees, extending into a long train. Three satin bands and a wreath of orange blossom buds placed at the back of the head - held the masses of pearl-toned billowy tulle, which formed a cape over the shpulders, and extended into a long and full second train. She carried a sheaf of deep cream roses, with pale gi-een foliage trailers. The bridesmaid was her sister, Miss Monica Treston. Her frock of mush-room-patterned lace was mounted over the same shade in crepe sa1tin. The bodice was cut with a square neck and shirring headed the long puff sleeves. From the knees was a full flounce of the same shade in tulle, the lace being appliqued into the flounce. Tulle and lace formed the halo-shaped liat, and her toilette was completed with a sheaf of gold and brown cactus dahlias. Mr Robert McCIintock, the bridegroom's brother, attended as best man. After the service a wedding breakfast was served at the residence of the bride' s mother, where the rooms were a hower of lovely summer blooms: Mrs Treston received the guests wearing a frock of mauve craquelle crepe, patterned in violet. grey and blue flowers, and a three-quarter accordion-pleated coat in shade of parma violet. Her picture hat was of the same colottr and she carried a bouquet of violet and mauve flowers. The bridegroom's mother, Mrs McCIintock, wore a black lace gown, with black picture hat, and carried a 'bouquet of red roses; Mrs Alex Kerebs was in a navy blue and cheiTy patterned georgette and hat to tone; Mrs Spellman Gleeson (bride's aunt) wore pastel floral flat crepe and iarge picture hat.
