Twenty Police Officers Give Evidence

WELLINGTON, Last Night. A very strong recommendation to mercy beeause of the prisoner's youth was added by the jury in the Supreme Court to-night when it found Henry Hedley Bri&nt Maunder, a labouxer, uged 22, guilty on a charge of being a rogue and a vagabond. The basis of the charge against Maunder was the allegajtion that he had habitually consorted with reputed thieves since his convictions at Palmerston North on February 16, 1935, aud May 17, 1935, for being idle and disorderly. More than 20 jjolice officers gave evidence for the Crown. Prisoner was remanded for sentence.
