PAYMENT OF TEACHERS
Transfers or petmauent appointments of teachers in Hawke's Bay which were made to take effect from February 1 shall he regarded as if they had aetually taken" effect from that date, a'ad teachers will receive salary in the new positions from February 1. All relieving teachers who are required to attend school for the preparation of schemes of work or for other work will he paid scale relieving rates from the date of attendance, hut all teachers not in permanent positions who would have been entitled to payment as relieving or temporary leachers are to be paid from February 1 at the rate of £150 per annum until they take up appointments as relieving teachers. Probationary assistants who left the Training College at the end of last year are to be paid salary as from February 1. Adviee of this has been received by tlie Hawke's Bay Education Board from the Education Departmenl.
