Mr H. B. Low's Qualifications EXPERIENCE IN CHINA

PALMERSTON N., This Day. Massey Oollege Couneil has confirmed tbe appointment of Mr. H. B. Low, M.A., as lecturer on agricultural economics in place of Mr. D. O. Williaaxs, who is now Government director on the Bank of New Zealand. Mr, Low was dux of the Timaru Boys' High School in 1927 and .entered Canterbury' University College in 1928 as the holder of a University National "Scholarsbip. He won the John Connal Scholarship in ,1929 and in 1930 was awarded *ithe senior scholarship in economics for the student seeuring highest marks for, third-year work in the four New Zealand colleges. He completed a brilliant (jareer by obtaining his M.A. degree with first-class honours in econoaiics in 1933. He has aeted as assistant lecturer in economics at Canterbury College for the past three years. Mr. Low has been on the staff of Nanking University, China, engaged partly in research work in agricultural economics.
