EAGLE ATTACKS PLANE

Bird Killed After Wounding Italian Filot ABYSSINIAN DUEL (Beceived 11, S.45 a.m.) LONDON, Feb. 10. The Milan correspoudent of The Times says a dramatic duel between a giant eagle and an aeroplane is reported from Addis Ababa. The eagle with a wing span of 11 ieet attacked a plano returning from frontier inspection. The occupants maehine-gunned the bird which struck the machine, breaking off several parts and wounding the pilot in the forehead with a blow from its beak. Finally it was hit by a bullet and fell dead. The plane made a forced landing because of the damage.
