Interesting visitors to Gisborne are Mr. and Mrs. Isaiah McSaveney, Mr. McSaveney being remembered in Gisborne for his long connection with farming in the Otoko district. He was married recently in New PlymoutK to the widow of one of his cousins, tria wife having been known to him fo» several years. Mrs. Savenev lived in Christchurch after the death of her husband. The old Rakauroa resident has been contemplating residing permanentlv i" Australia, but this is now imposslble as he 'still holds two stations in Hawke's Bay and his wife's interests are in the South Island. The couble were to have left Gisborne to-day, stay a week in Rotorua and another week in Auckland before sailing from that port on February 24 for Australia. Mr. VFcSavoney wishes' to visit Adelaide while in the Commonwealth and qnid that he would be returning to New Zealand in October.
