The visitors arrived at Napier on Saturday, and after competing at the carnival they attended a social gathering arranged in their honour. Sunday was a free day except for an appearance in the surf on the Marine Parade in the afternoon. On Monday they made a tour of the countryside about Napier, including a visit to the Aoclimatisation Society's hatchery at Taradale, where they were keenly interested in the pet kiwi. Yesterday the party was taken in hand by the Heretaunga Swimming and Life-Saving Club and was treated to a long motor drive round the town and the surrounding districts. A prolonged stay was made at Havelock North, where, several members said, they were treated to two of the best little outings of their tour. One -wa® the trip to Te Mata Peak, conditions being ideal, and they were rewarded with a wonderful view of the plains. The other was the visit to Woodford House^ the party being extended thft privilege of a complete inspection of the school' and the grounds. They wore particularly interested in the beautiful swimming pool that the school possesses, and more than one of the visitors declared most emphaticaly that it was "easily the finest bath in the southern hemisphere," Following the trip the visitors were entertained at a speeial dinner in their honour and in the evening eompeted at an open carnival. "We have had a wonderful stay here," said Mr Jack Cameron, manager of the team, before departing this morning. We have been very pleased indeed with the wonderful support that has attended our appear ances, and feel that our visit to' Hawke's Bay ha® been really worth while." >
