Another Challenge Fails

WAIFAWA, Feb. 8. A further match for the Brewer Buttons was played on the Waipawa bowling green oVer the' week-ehd, the present -holders, Rennett and Jopson, successfully defending the trophy against.. Petherick and Petherick. The challengers played strongly, and wero within .striking distance for the greater part of the gaipe, but in the last few heads were unable to sustain their effort, the final score being 20 to 12. Miller has further' censolidated hia positipn in the junior singles by defeating Holt, 17 to'- 15, in a c^oselycontested game.. '
