KING HOLDS LEVEE
State Drive to St James's .HUNDREDS UNE ROUTE (Eeceiret! 10, 11.45 a.m.) LO.NDON, Feb. 9. The King made his first State drive in brilliant sunshine to the levee at St. James's Palace. The heavy ram suddenly ceased before his departure and the sun came out. Hundreds lined the route despite the uncertainty of the weather. His Majesty wore the uniform of Colonel-in-Chief of the Grenadiei Guards, with the blue ribbon of the Order of the Garter. Nearly 2 G\Xj aitenued the levee, including the Duke oi Kent and the Duke of Gioucefiftr. New Zealanders presen* jncluoed Messrs W. J. Jordan, \\. Nash and J. H. Lafecelles.
