FIVE O'CLOCK PARTY HELD IN NAPIER
Mr and Mrs R. D. Kettle gave a cheery five-to-seven party at the Hawke's Bay Women' s Club on Monday eveningj the function, at which close on 100 guests were present, was given for Mrs E. C. Riddiford, Lower Hutt, mother of Mrs Kettle, and for a number of visitors to Napier for the Herrick-Elworthy weddingj, which took place early yesterday afternoon. The club rooms were tastefully decorated with bowls of gladioli, zinnias and choice dahlias and Mr and Mrs Kfettle received their guests in the lounge, the latter wearing a smart t'rock of crocus yellow ci'epe-de-chine, with interwoven black silk thread in the design. Her toque was black and finished with an eye veil. Mrs lliddiford was smartly gowned in black and white figured crepe-de-chine, worn with a black hat trimmed with mesh veiling.
