May Surrender Duchy of Cornwall Revenues ANNUAL SUM INSTEAD
(By Telegraph—

(Eeceived 9, 8.45 a.m.) LONBON, Feb. 8. The "Morning Post's" politicai correspondent says a select committee will consider the King Je Civil List and will discuss the question of transferring the Buchy of Cornwall revenues to the Treasury and in return a Government payment of a similar but fixed annual sum to Edward. It will not cause surprise if the King signifies his willingness to surrender control of the revenues which are about £119,000 a year, which have been the birthright of the heir apparent since 1336. The King is obviously unable to take the same interest in the Buchy a>s his predecessor nor has he had the opportunity of maintaining close contact. It is felt in some quarters that it is not desirable to risk the King's private property becoming involved in politicai controversy.
