Church Assembly Resolution WAR UNCHRISTIAN

(Received 8, 11-45 a.m.) RUGBY, Feb. 7. The Church Assembly, after a twodays debate, passed a resolutipn whieh affirms that war as a method of settling international disputes is incompatible with the teaching of Christ. The resolution deplores the rearmament throughout the world and calls on Christians to redouble their efforts to promote international good will, and assures the British Government of the Ohurch's moral support in all eifoxts to remove political and economic causes of war, while welcoming the declared poiicy of fche Government of adhering to the League Covenaixt, using armed force only for the defence of the country and in the interestp of inter national security and geace.
