FAREWELL PARTY FOR MR & MRS DUNLOP HELD IN NAPIER
A very enjoyable time was spent on Saturday evening, when Mr and Mrs W. Rowan entertained at their residence in Roslyn road, Napier, the function bedng arranged as a farewell to Mr and Mrs J. Dunlop, who are leaving Napier for Wanganui, to which city Mr Dunlop has been tfansferred. Mrs Bowan received the guests m a model frock of brown lace relieved with natural shoulder spray. Mrs Dunlop wore a smart model in multi-coloured floral georgette, cut on long grgeeful lines. The drawing room was decorated with bowls of French marigolds and fern and here tables were set for "whist bridge." • fl At the conclusion of play trophies were presented to Mr W. R. Gibson and Mrs G. Thomson; consolation prizes to Mrs Couper and Mrs Glover, while the lueky number prize went to Mrs J. Dunlop. Supper was served in the dining room, where decorations ' comprised bowls of zinnias and carnations. An interesting game followed, after which Mr W. Rowan, on behalf of all preSent, asked Mr and Mrs Dunlop to" accept a gift with their combined good wislies for future health and happiness. Mr Dunlop suitably replied and Mrs Dunlop also made a brief speech. There were present: Mr and Mrs W. Bryant, Mrs R. Couper, Mr and Mrs Dale, Mr and Mrs G. O. Dunsford, Mr and Mrs W. R. Gibson, Mr and Mrs L. Hill, Mr and Mrs Wardell-Johnson, Mr and Mrs W. Rowan, Mr and Mrs F. G. Smith, Mr and Mrs G. Thomson (Awatoto), Mrs F. C. Twigg (Havelock North), Mrs Walker, Mr Glover (Hastings).
