WANGANUI, Feb. S. Gontrasting very strongly wit.h the January wool sale in 1933, when the •verage price per bale of wool was £6 0/8, the price obtained at last month 's »ale at Wanganui was £24 1/1, compared with £12 17/5 per bale last year. The total wool cheque for the sale was £719,654 16/7, which is one of the bigjjest totals ever recorded at Wanganui. Details of last month 's sale, with last year's figures in parentheses. are as folIowb: — Bales offered, 30,407 (30,891); »old, 30,331 (30,472); gross realisation, £729,654 16/7 (£392,209 1/10); average price per bale, £24 1/1 (£12 17/b); average price per lb., 15.955d (8.285d). The trueking yards at .the Wanganui railway statixn have been very active during the last few days. Over 6000 bales of wool have been loaded on to waggon8 to conneet with an overseas .vessel which departs from Auckland on Tuesday. The final quota wa3 loaded to-day, and in all 170 waggons were utilised.
